Fitness Training Helped Me
This all happened a couple of years ago and today we have made great improvements in our health. Fitness training helped tone our muscles and lower our weight while giving us more self confidence to tackle anything that life throws at us. One thing I never really considered was that I had low self esteem, but looking back I realize that my weight problem had a negative affect on many aspects of my life. Like countless others I have tried many diets with little success as the weight would soon come back after it was taken off. By starting to incorporate fitness training along with a healthier diet I found that my metabolism went up and the weight didn't return.
My daughter and I signed up at a local health club right after we began dieting. This local club has many different personal trainers on hand, but we figured we could develop our own program. One day when we were using the fitness equipment one of the trainers began pointing out to my daughter that her posture could be better on the treadmill. He started talking to us about how critical posture is in fitness training to avoid injury and get the most out of it. He also stated that we should include weight lifting in our program to build strength in our muscles. We both thought it would be informative and fun to have a complete fitness training session with the personal trainer so we signed up for his next open slot.
That was a big turning point in our physical transformations. We had been encouraging each other as much as we could during our sessions, but having a professional helping us gave us even more motivation. We increased the intensity of our fitness training from that point on and we were more motivated to walk and bike our off days at our home. Over the following two years since, we have both continually lost weight and toned our muscles. We have additionally become much closer to each other and openly discuss our past weight problems. It is my belief that the fitness training program had many positive effects, most importantly being the weight loss. We are now completely committed to our new healthy way of life.
